Marie Eileen Constanti and Thomas Zachary Taylor exchanged wedding vows at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church on March 25, 1940. Shirley Constanti was maid of honor for her sister while Keith Bogan served as best man during the morning ceremonies. A reception was held in the Rose & Gold room of the Hotel Winthrop. The new Mrs. Taylor wore an apple green suit trimmed with cross fox fur for her wedding along with a toast colored straw hat. She graduated from Sumner High School and was affiliated with Delta Alpha Gamma at the College of Puget Sound. The bridegroom attended Bellarmine and Bennett School of Aeronautics. Wedding party listed in Richards records as "Gustie Flemish" and Irene Holz. The party includes two maids of honor, two young female candle lighters, two flowergirls and a young ring bearer. This is believed to be the Holz-Flemish wedding that occurred on June 19, 1940, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Holz with Rev. R.A. Anderson presiding. The beautiful setting consisted of white gladioli, white roses and ivy. The bride wore an ivory satin gown with pearl yoke and a matching pearl coronet in her dark hair. She carried a bouquet of roses and swansonia. Her matron of honor was Mrs. Carroll Hill while Mr. Hill served as the best man. Bridesmaid was Evelyn Freeman. The candlelighters were Mona Mae Heurertz and Lois Holz and the little flower girls, Marlene Stewart and Carol Holz. Dickie Lyons was the ringbearer. (T.Times 6-28-40, p.9 - article only)

Her husband is the son of Senator and Mrs. A.O. Ellett of Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from Springville High School in Spanish Fork, Utah and attended the University of Utah. Vivian Weber's wedding party posed in front of the altar at Divine Science church on May 19, 1940. Miss Weber was joined in marriage to Alfred E. Laybourn, Jr. on that Sunday afternoon in ceremonies officiated by Rev. Henry Victor Morgan, who had married the bride's parents 24 years before. The bride wore a white slipper satin gown and carried a large bouquet of lilies of the valley, roses and forget-me-nots. Agnes Smith, in rose taffeta, was her maid of honor and Marylouise Pelle and Madeline Paulson, both in turquiose blue taffeta, were bridesmaids. Allyce Weber was her sister's junior maid of honor. Robert Doubleday was Mr. Laybourn's best man and Richard George, Phillilp Nelson and Corey Knutson served as ushers. Mary Jane Hewitt was the flower girl. The newlyweds' first home was in Tacoma. Buness-Payne Wedding. 300-400 guests were present at the double ring ceremony uniting Evelyn Lorraine Buness and Clinton Dwight Payne on June 18, 1948. The evening nuptials were held at Bethesda Baptist Church and officiated by the Rev. Marion Flint. Louise Buness, the bride's sister, was her maid-of-honor and the groom's brother, Bud, was his best man. The bride wore a floor-length ivory satin gown with beadwork on the front. Her bouquet had a large orchid and stephanotis. Evelyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Buness and Clinton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Payne. The couple both attended Lincoln High School. After their wedding trip to California and (New) Mexico, they planned to make their home at 7048 South Fawcett in Tacoma. Lockwood-Boyle wedding. Carol-Lu Wesson Lockwood and Donald James Boyle were joined in holy matrimony in a morning ceremony at St. John of the Woods Church on November 17, 1951. This was a very large wedding with ten attendants in addition to two flower girls and two ring-bearers. The bride wore her mother's cream colored satin wedding gown. Johnston, U.S. Army, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Johnston of South Haven, Michigan. He was a graduate of Michigan State College and was aide-de-camp to General Leroy H. The bride was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Archie Giesy and the groom was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Leonard Estes. The bride's five attendants were dressed in Nile green organdy embossed with lilly of the valley and carried bouquets of pink and orchid sweet peas. The bride wore a gown of ivory slipper satin with a yoke of Alencon lace and a Peter Pan satin collar. The gown had a full circular skirt with a court length train. The bride wore a bonnet of shirred net trimmed with pink rosebuds and lilly of the valley, with a fastened fingertip veil of imported French illusion. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis and pale yellow sweetheart roses with a white orchid topping a white prayer book.
