Murray's People is a selection of essays by author and historian Murray Morgan. These essays were selected, compiled, and edited by Gary Fuller Reese from more than 30 years of newspaper and magazine articles, radio broadcasts, and books by Morgan.

Quasim discusses how he became involved in the City of Tacoma's Neighborhood Council to promote the Safe Streets Campaign, which aimed to eliminate the conditions that lead to drugs, gangs, and violence within Tacoma's neighborhoods.

ca. 1979. Albers Mill, circa 1979. Acme Inter City Freight Lines occupied this building from 1978-1982. Prior to that, Inter-City Auto Freight was the main building occupant from 1945-1977. It was originally built in 1903 as a cereal mill with a warehouse added later. The above view, according to a reader, is pointing east between the north side of Albers Mill and the adjacent L-shaped building that was removed a few years before the Glass Museum was constructed.

Dedicated in 1913, the $600,000 steel truss lift-span bridge provides a link between the downtown business district and the industrial Tideflats area. It was renamed for Mr. Morgan, perhaps the Northwest's foremost historian, in 1997.
