Actress Joan Leslie on platform at Seattle-Tacoma Shipbuilding Corporation, Tacoma. Hollywood stars Adolphe Menjou and Walter Pidgeon were also on hand overlooking the sea of shipyard workers and military personnel. The actors were in town to dedicate Tacoma's war activity outdoor theater at the Liberty Center. They journeyed to the shipyards to present a brief program during the dayshift's lunch hour on behalf of the film industry's billion dolar bond drive for September, 1942.
