The 1930 McKinley Avenue baseball team, apparently also known as "McKinley Hill," played in the five-team City League. The team won their season opener on April 26, 1930, with an 11-inning victory over the 38th Streeters. On May 1st, they battled to a 0-0 tie in their second game against South Tacoma in the Lincoln Bowl. Taking on the role of player-coach was shortstop Vince Duckwitz.
