Mary (Mrs. Joseph L.) Carman Jr. and her three year old daughter, Margaret Ann, have come from Spokane to make their home here. The family has leased the W.L. McCormick home on Gravelly Lake. Currently, they are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Carman, Sr. at Villa Carman, their country estate on Gravelly Lake. Joseph Carman Jr. is treasurer of the family business, Carman Manufacturing Co., a furniture manufacturing company located at 801 E. 25th in Tacoma. (T.Times, 2/15/1936, p. 7).
