The completed East 34th Street Bridge (West). The new concrete bridge was built at a price tag of $250,000 to replace an old wooden bridge. The bridge is 485 feet long with an arch of 242 feet. It was built with proceeds from the city's portion of state highway funds and a 45% grant from the Federal Government. More than 10,000 people turned out for the bridge's formal dedication. (T.
