Exterior of Langlow Bldg., 1124-26 Pacific Ave., taken on November 30, 1967, for Mrs. Anne Landingham. The Bristol Hotel occupied the upper floors of the brick building with The Club Cafe & Smoke Shop and Friedman's Clothes Shop on the ground level. Signs on Friedman's windows indicated that the business was being forced out as the building was to be demolished. The Langlow Bldg. was constructed in 1908.

The Club Cigar Store, owned by L.E. Gambill, was located in the Langlow Building at 1126 Pacific Avenue. Opened in 1920, it was a combination cigar store and fountain lunch counter. In a photograph taken after hours on July 30, 1951, the stools are seemingly at attention, all facing the same direction, along the gleaming counter. A notice posted under the Fletts Ice Cream electric sign indicates that the Club Cigar Store will no longer be open in the evenings after July 23. If a customer wanted to order a cold Olympia beer or a 25 cent chocolate sundae, he would have to do so prior to 6 pm. TPL-3267
