Grandmothers were honored in a special one-page layout in the Tacoma News Tribune April 18, 1951. Two of Hattie M. (Mrs. Ernest C.) Richards' great-grandchildren, Tommy Roberts, age 5, and his sister, Sandra, age 2, came to fish in the pool in her garden. Mrs. Richards is standing on the left.
