Sigma Mu Chi was celebrating their 25th anniversary with a dance in the banquet room of the New Yorker. Fifty couples were expected to attend, Walt Gundstrom and his Orchestra would be playing. The banquet hall was decorated in the fraternity colors, silver and blue, and large replicas of the fraternity pins and pledge pins were displayed throughout the room.
