Superior Service Laundry first opened for business by offering a public inspection on April 9, 1927, they were one of the finest laundries in the country. The company offered complete laundry and dry cleaning services. The company advertised they were the most complete service and reasonably priced in this area. In 1943 Superior Service Laundry purchased the rights to use the "Lusterize" process, which was originally invented in Spokane, Washington. "Lusterized" dry cleaning was an entirely new method of dry cleaning, it was developed after eleven years of extensive research. "Lusterized" clothing would stay clean longer, press better, resist spotting and wear longer. Smokestack at Superior Laundry, Parker Paint Company, Mr. Martin. Parker Paint manufactured paints for every field: paints, varnishes, enamels and marine paints. They also manufactured furniture finishes and metal protectors with rust preventatives. This view shows the tall smokestack at the laundry facility newly painted. F.J. Meyer was president of Superior Laundry. W.C. Miller was vice president and M.C. Christie served as treasurer of the company at this time.

New shirt ironer at Superior Laundry, Llewellyn Advertising Agency, Mr. VanMeter. The first Formatic shirt ironer on the Pacific coast was installed at the Superior Service Laundry Company. A laundry employee is operating the new ironer which weighs 2,500 pounds and cost $7,500. The new equipment irons both front and back of each shirt at the same time eliminating a time lapse and insuring uiformity of ironing. Laundry officials reported that three employees could finish 100 shirts an hour with less effort and fewer employees than under the old system. (T.Times, 1/30/1948, p.8)

The company arranged for a complete paint job, new awnings, new shrubs and adding a general shine to the community. H.R. Swartz was the manager of the company at this time.
