The Spanish Mission-style Tuell Funeral Home was built in 1927. It was designed by architect G.W. Bullard and built by Z.H. Maddux and known as the Maddux-Raymond Funeral Home. It appears to have a stucco exterior, tile roof, and an arched parapet wall. By 1953, it was called the Tuell Funeral Home, "Chapel of the Chimes", owned by David R. Tuell, a local civic leader. In addition to the mortuary's name on the free-standing sign, there was also a clock attached.
