Part of Richards Studio Photographs
Piano tuner Jarrett ("Whitey") Dailey has removed several keys from a modern console piano in this late January of 1958 photograph. It is unclear whether they needed to be cleaned, leveled or repaired. Legally blind, Mr. Dailey had been a piano tuner since 1952 and a Tacoma resident since 1955. The Dailey & Ekman Piano Clinic, owned by Mr. Dailey and Laurence Ekman, was located at 2343 So. Sprague Avenue. Per the sign behind the piano where Mr. Dailey's name is misspelled, they offered piano tuning and repairing. Photograph ordered by Teleradio Advertisers, Inc., for KTVW television.
