Congregational missionaries, the Rev. L.W. and Mrs. Muriel Henderson, were back in Tacoma for several months during a sabbatical from duties in Lobito, Portuguese West Africa (Angola). In this sepia photograph taken on September 11, 1951, the Henderson family smile happily to each other. Kathleen, age 7, and Nancy, age 6, hold nine month old David between them. The Hendersons have spent four years in Angola and have helped to both educate as well as minister their Bantu neighbors. (TNT 9-16-51, D-7)
