The combined talents of College of Puget Sound, First Baptist, Immanuel Presbyterian, Epworth Methodist, Mason Methodists, First Methodists, the Orpheus Club, Ladies Musical Club, Adelphian Concert Choir and the Collegiate Singers all joined together to bring the third annual presentation of Handel's "The Messiah". More than 1,900 people attended the musical performance, and more than 500 could not get into the Temple Theatre. Handel's "The Messiah" was directed by Clyde Keutzer. In April of 1944 Lenny Hagen and his Orchestra could be heard playing at the Fellowship Ballroom in the Temple Theatre at 49 Saint Helens Avenue. A life member of the Musicians Association of Tacoma, Local 117, Lenny Hagen (second from right, playing the violin) was one of the best known orchestra leaders in the Puget Sound region. He received his early training on the violin in Tacoma before going east to study at the Boston Conservatory of Music. In the 1920s he conducted orchestral groups that accompanied silent movies in Tacoma, Seattle and Portland. For a period he was concertmaster for the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and he was also the leader of the orchestra at the Tacoma Hotel. TPL-9896

Jason Lee Glee Group were invited to perform for the Knights Templar Ivanhoe Commandery No. 4 at their 7th annual Easter Observance. The service was at the Temple Theatre. The choir is made up of 90 students and is directed by Winifred Knox.

The Tacoma Philharmonic Orchestra performed four times at the Temple Theatre. They had a special performance with two local pianists, Lennard Anderson and Herbert Horn. Tacoma's Temple Theatre advertised they had the "widest proscenium arch of any theater or hall on Pacific Coast". Throughout the years the Temple Theatre had a number of movie stars making special appearances, including Tallulah Bankhead and Lucille Ball. The Temple Theatre was later renamed the Saint Helens Convention Center in 1992 and the Landmark Convention Center in 1995.
