Two unidentified employees of the new Highland Maverick Steak House display typical tasty meals of steak, baked potato and roll served at the restaurant in August of 1966. The Highland Maverick, located at 6104 Sixth Avenue, celebrated its grand opening that month. The restaurant advertised the above meal for a mere $1.29 with kids eating at half-price. Crawford Burns was the owner/operator of the Highland Maverick, located across the street from the new Highland Hill Shopping Center. (TNT ad 8-27-66, p. 7)
