In March of 1926, three employees at the Washington Co-Operative Egg & Poultry Association Headquarters, (left to right) Mary Zack, Sarah Gruno and Esther Christoferson, demonstrate how to decorate Easter eggs. Sarah Gruno, in the center, is dyeing eggs with natural dyes made from vegetables, such as beets, spinach and coffee. Mary Zack is cutting out transfers to decorate her eggs, and Esther Christoferson is using a pen and ink to draw faces on her's. The Washington Co-Op packed transfer pictures with every carton of eggs sold around the holidays. (TNT 3/30/1926, pg. 1)

Pacific Storage and Distributing Co. warehouse. This warehouse, located at 805 Puyallup Ave., was one of several maintained in Tacoma by Pacific Storage & Distributing Co. As their name implied, they safely stored and moved many types of merchandise. Their main offices were located on Jefferson Ave. in downtown Tacoma.

Tacoma was emerging as a central distribution point for Southwest Washington at this time. Goods from abroad as well as United States and locally-made goods were distributed through focal points in Tacoma. Pacific Storage and Distribution company handled all types of merchandise. They kept eight trucks in operation and maintained warehouses at 1721 Jefferson Ave., 1725-1729 Commerce St., 805 Puyallup Ave., and 2312 East E St. (TNT, 2/14/1950, p.C-5)
