Five descendents of three members of the Lewis and Clark expedition met in Tacoma Augusr 14, 1948, at the home of Della Emmons, author of "Sacajawea of the Shoshones" for a reunion of "tall tales of the west". L-R, Mrs. Albert Erickson, of Puyallup, great-great-grandchild of George Shannon, youngest of the Lewis and Clark men; William Jackson, of Seattle, son of Mrs. Erickson; Owen Buxton, of Kent, cousin of Sargeant Patrick Gass; Mrs. E.G.
