Passing of the gavel. New officers of the Homebuilders Association of Greater Tacoma were installed in ceremonies held at Fort Steilacoom Community College (now Pierce College) on December 2, 1978. Leroy B. "Bud" Crest, president of Crest Builders, was elected president of the 453-member association, succeeding David Kelley of Holly Homes.
