The Pacific Lutheran College 1938 May Day Queen Alice Cook and her court pose in front of a brick building at the school. The royalty, left to right, are unidentified, Doris Hovey, Aagot Gerden, Eugenia Spencer, Queen Alice, Enid Blake, Ruth Downton, Caroline Hoff and unidentified. The unidentified young women are probably the high school court members Barbara Xavier and Priscilla Preus. The children standing in front are, left to right, Marianna Van Rooy, Gail Taylor, Grover Akre and Connie Hanson. The court attendants wore pastel gowns of blue, peach, blue-green and green. Queen Alice wore white silk with grosgrain ribbon defining the skirt. Her bouquet was of lavender stock and spring flowers. The attendants carried carnations and sweet peas. (T.
