Scope and content

For the 1941 "Klahowya," Clover Park High School yearbook. Led by advisor James Garrard and Club president Jerry Hallmeyer, the Radio Club was trained in the International Morse Code and learned the theory of radio receiving and transmitting. They constructed several crystal receiving sets, a simple spark coil and dismantled two old radios for their parts. Pictured working on various radios are, top row: Doyle Watt, Dick Taylor, Dave Heignbert, Tom Williams, Mr. Garrard, Lionel Reid, William Legacy, Jerry Hallmeyer, Ross Spalding. Bottom Row: Tommy Loper, James Caillouette, Edward Carl, Bob Kelly. Mr. Garrard taught shop, spanish, mechanical drawing and history. (1941 Klahowya, pg. 37)
