The Tacoma Chapter of the Society for the Preservation of Barbershop Quartets sent two quartets to attend the Northwest Convention held in Portland, Oregon in 1947. Left to right view of B. B. (Bud) Busselle, Claude Swanson, H. Sanford Saari and Leo Barton singing one of their melodies in front of Pullman's Barber Shop at 934 Pacific Avenue. The barber pole helps create the correct ambience. (T. Times, 4/28/47, p. 1).
