Scope and content

1939 Pacific Lutheran College May Day Queen, Vivian Lunde, makes her traditional procession from Old Main to her throne. She is attended by three young girls, Mary Olson, Barbara DeBerry and Constance Hanson in period gowns of pastel organdy. Queen Vivian I is wearing a gown of white net over taffeta with a full skirt. It is topped by a white lace jacket with pearl studded flowers. Her bouquet is made of pink roses and snap dragons. She strolls between two lines of senior girls in pastel gowns holding a ribbon on each side, forming a corridor for the processional. (T. Times 5/2/1939, pg. 1)
