Scope and content
In May of 1939, students from Zetta Dalton's Mason School boys 8A history class pose with their gaily colored 5 x 10 foot map of the United States of 1789. The students are, left to right, Alan McLean, Jimmie Davis, Robert (Bob) Winskill, and Kenny Burrows. The map, with its marginal decorations describing the life of the people of that period, will form a background for three pageants celebrating the 150th anniversary of the establishment of our national government and the Washington State Golden Jubilee.
