The flower girl, Rhoda Marcia Simpson, really lays one on the ring bearer, Bruce Allan Jennison, in this original wedding picture. There is an indication that this photo was displayed in the front window of the Richards studio with the caption "What can the poor guy do!" The young couple were the attendants at the June 11, 1955 wedding of Lois Marilyn Antilla and Paul John Putnam. The younger couple were the niece and nephew of the bride. The ringleted lass wears a dotted swiss gown and carries a basket. The young man wears a white sport coat and saddle shoes. (TNT 6/19/1955, pg. D-9)

Wedding picture of Mr. & Mrs. Clarence O. Lynn, owners of the C.O. Lynn Mortuary. Copy of the customers' print, no negative available. The First Lutheran Church of Tacoma was the scene of the nuptials June 14, 1905 that united Hilma Johnson of Tacoma and Clarence O. Lynn of Omaha, Nebraska. The couple was married in the church where they first met. When Mr. Lynn came west to establish himself, he was first employed by Conrad Hoska, funeral director. At the time of his marriage, Lynn went into business for himself, opening his own funeral home. In 1918, he built his own building at 717-19 Tacoma Ave. So. In 2000, the Lynn family still operates their business out of this building. (TNT 6/12/1955, pg. D-1)

Joan Thrasher tries on a lace wedding gown at the Bon Marche, as multiple mirrors reflect back her image. This photograph was shot for the TNT 1952 bridal layout. Joan Thrasher married Allen Jerome Morgan June 14, 1952 in the Christ Episcopal church. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Tacoma Lawn Tennis club. The bride was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Thrasher of Tacoma and the groom the son of the Allen B. Morgans of Seattle. After the wedding, the couple left for Massachusetts, where the bridegroom served as coxswain for the Washington Athletic club-sponsored shell at the Olympic trials. Both Mr. and Mrs. Morgan graduated from the University of Washington, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta and the Totem Club. Before the wedding, she had taught at the University Place grade school. While at the U of W, the groom was the president of Chi Psi, and belonged to Big W and the Varsity Boat club. The bride is wearing a floor length gown with a skirt of lace over net ruffles, lace bodice and sleeves and net at the neckline. Both bride and groom are wearing big smiles. The wedding was followed by a reception at the University Union Club.

Wedding party on the altar of Epworth Methodist Church following nuptials of Bertha Bellamy and Kenneth W. Kinsey on August 23, 1952. The bride was the daughter of Mrs. Mary Bellamy of Tacoma and the groom the son of Mr. and Mrs. K. W. Kinsey of Seattle. The bride wore a white satin wedding gown with a lace bodice and long train. The bride was "given away" by her brother William Bellamy. Mrs. William Bellamy was the matron of honor and wore yellow. The bride's other attendants were Mrs. George Pretare of Seattle in lavender and Mrs. George Whitver in light green. Candlelighters were the Misses Charlotte and Frances Goodwin of Seattle, in light blue. Kerry R. Kinsey was the Best man and ushers were James R. Bellamy and Carl Dressler. Wedding portrait of Grace Louise Fullager and William L. Richey Jr. married August 2, 1952 at the First Methodist Church. The bride was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Fullager and the groom was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Richey. The bride wore white brocaded satin with a rolled collar, long sleeves, a sheath skirt and overskirt and a cap of lace with an ankle length veil. A reception at the Tacoma Lawn and Tennis Club followed the ceremony. The couple made their first home at 2917 1/2 No. 21st St. The bride was a graduate of Stadium High, the College of Puget Sound and belonged to Phi Beta Pi sorority. As an added attraction at the 1931 Home Products Show, a public wedding was held on May 22, 1931. Grace McCollum and Noel Carreau were the first couple to volunteer to wed in front of a large attentive audience at the State Armory. The Independent Merchants Association, sponsors of the exhibition, paid for the wedding expenses including the marriage license, wedding clothing, flowers, and gifts. C.F. Mason, president of the association, even gave the bride away. The new Mrs. Carreau was dressed in an early summer gown of white chiffon and white hat and was attended by Mrs. Flora Niccoli. Cecilia Coleman was the flower girl with Albert Morris as best man. The marriage was solemnized by Justice Blanche Funk Miller. G32.1-014 (TDL 5-23-31, p. 12-article)
