Joan Thrasher married Allen Jerome Morgan June 14, 1952 in the Christ Episcopal church. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Tacoma Lawn Tennis club. The bride was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Thrasher of Tacoma and the groom the son of the Allen B. Morgans of Seattle. After the wedding, the couple left for Massachusetts, where the bridegroom served as coxswain for the Washington Athletic club-sponsored shell at the Olympic trials. Both Mr. and Mrs. Morgan graduated from the University of Washington, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta and the Totem Club. Before the wedding, she had taught at the University Place grade school. While at the U of W, the groom was the president of Chi Psi, and belonged to Big W and the Varsity Boat club. Her heirloom veil was fingertip length and was first worn by her great-grandmother. Mrs. George Edward Anderson, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and wore a green satin brocade gown. Lockwood-Boyle wedding. Carol-Lu Wesson Lockwood and Donald James Boyle were joined in holy matrimony in a morning ceremony at St. John of the Woods Church on November 17, 1951. This was a very large wedding with ten attendants in addition to two flower girls and two ring-bearers. The bride wore her mother's cream colored satin wedding gown. Her veil was bordered with Chantilly lace and fastened onto a pearl and silver beaded tiara. The bride and groom honeymooned in California and Mexico. (TNT 12-15-51, p. 5)

Father Anslem. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of white satin with an overdress of net and a lace apron.
