Bud's Welding Supply opened at the corner of 9th and Market in July of 1944. The company's delivery truck is parked at the delivery door and the staff stand on the sidewalk by the large "welding supply on wheels" truck in front of the shop. Bud Ohler was the owner of the business that handled a full line of welder's supplies, sight feed acetylene generators, P & H, and AC/DC welding machines and electrodes. Bud's moved to 1640 E. 27th, and was in business until the mid-1950s. L-R, Bert Billett, repairman; Beatrice M. Personnel and trucks in front of store, Bud's Welding Supply. Standing before the firm's headquarters are seven of Bud's Welding Supply's eight employees with two of the company's service vehicles: L-R, Bud Ohler, Dan Tracy, Leo Leifester, Minnie Craig, Peggy Bass, Doc Wyckoff and Ken Ripley. Not shown was Clark Abernathy. Each was a specialist in their line. Bud Ohler started the company four years earlier at 944 Market. By this time the company had over 500 accounts, supplying many of them through truck-mounted welding service which carried full equipment to clients. The company specialized in supplying welding concerns, doing only demonstration work itself. (T.Times, 3/29/1948, p.7)

Floor-to-ceiling shelves are filled with seat covers at Sure-Fit Seat Cover Center, owned by Marvin E. Hoffmeister and John T. Stone. Samples of the coverings are displayed on racks on the left and across the counter in front of the shelves. The store was located at 940 Market St.

A counter is seen in the left foreground with rolls of paper set into paper cutters for wrapping purchases.
