Scope and content
Sherwood Inn. With its name in letters 10-feet high, the Sherwood Inn would be visible for more than a mile from the nearby freeway. It had 121 rooms and a variety of banquet and other dining facilities. The rooms were equipped with extra long, extra wide beds. The Bon Marche reportedly provided the rooms' furnishings. The hotel had opened on August 18, 1965 and was a fixture in the city's south end for many years. By 2006, it had become a newly renovated Red Lion Hotel.
