"A Proud Heritage: African American Family History Event" was held on February 25, 2023 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The event included presentations and workshops focused on African American genealogy. Community Archives Center staff recorded oral histories and digitized family photos and letters. They also recorded stories from participants in the Storytelling Event.

The Steen Family Symposium/Earth and Diversity Week was held at Pacific Lutheran University April 17-23, 2023. The 2023 theme was "Sowing Resilience in Fractured Land" and events included lectures, panels, book talks, and exhibits. On Tuesday, April 18, the Community Archives Center partnered with event planners to host a "story fest" event. An exhibit was displayed highlighting materials related to the Chambers-Clover Creek Watershed and interviews were conducted with students about the impact of climate change and their reflections on Earth Day.

Hilltop Story Fest was held on May 6, 2023 at Tacoma Community House. The event included two oral history recording stations, a digitization station, an interactive story map, and other activities. Live storytelling, community presentations, and the debut of "Armed: A DanCe Demonstration" a performance piece by Kenya Adams. Oral history interviews were conducted by dindria barrow, Spencer Bowman, Aubrey Farache, Chris Jowaisas, Sarah Nguyen, and Jim Peterson.

Rally for Reproductive Rights, May 7, 2022

The Rally for Reproductive Rights on May 7th, 2022, was organized by Democratic Socialists of America, Tacoma and Serve the People Tacoma, outside the Union Station building on Pacific Avenue in Tacoma, Washington. This event was organized following the May 2nd leak of a first draft of written opinion by Justice Samuel Alito that suggested an upcoming overturning of the 1973 ruling on Roe v. Wade, which secured federal abortion rights on the grounds of privacy. Approximately two hundred people gathered on the sidewalk around 12pm to hold signs, chant, and listen to several pro-abortion speakers, including founder of La Resistencia, Maru Mora Villalpando. Community Archives Center staff photographed a handful of protestors, and asked about their motives and reasons for coming to the rally.

Poetry Picnic was held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at South Park (4851 South Tacoma Way). The event was hosted by the Tacoma Public Library's Teen Librarian and Write 253. At the event, attendees were invited to record their stories/poetry, write poetry at a variety of booths and share their poetry during an open mic session.
