Richards Studio Photographs

Newsletter for the Northwest Railway Museum, which is based in Snoqualmie, Washington, in King County, that focuses on various railroad news, the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad in particular, plus activities and events held by the museum. The first publication is titled “Puget Sound and Snoqualmie Valley Railroad” (June 1976) before changing the name to "The Sounder", and the first four quarterly publications: (Holiday 1976 – Spring 1978) are in a magazine-like format. Newsletter then changed to a monthly format in 1977 and later a bi-monthly format with occasional monthly special edition issues in September 2006 and a quarterly format from Winter 2010 to the present.

Pierce County Veterans' Burial Cards

These burial cards were produced by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) Agency under the Veterans' Grave Registration program in Pierce County, Washington. The range of dates spans from the mid-nineteenth century through the mid-twentieth century. A majority of the individuals listed on these cards are identified as veterans of the Civil War, but also included is the Spanish-American War, the Boer War, and World War I. The information on the cards contain the person's name, rank and organization in the military, what war they are a veteran of, along with the date/place enlisted and date/place discharged by the military. Additionally, the burial information includes the name and location of the cemetery; the grave number, location, and condition of the plot; and the date of the burial along with any marker information. Also included is the date, location, and cause of death, along with a line for name and address of next of kin. Not all fields are complete on all cards. The burial locations in Washington include Tacoma, Puyallup, Orting, Sumner, Spanaway, Roy, Alder, Fort Lewis, Fox Island, and Buckley.

Other postcards are from around the Puget Sound region and Washington state along with some national and international cards. Postcards are arranged either by named collection or by subject and feature a front and back image. Postcards feature black and white, color, and colorized photography plus sepia and text only formats.

The Northwest Asian Weekly is a weekly newspaper based out of Seattle, WA and serves the Pacific Northwest region. It began publication in 1992 and is still producing weekly newspapers. The Northwest Asian Weekly covers local, national, and international news, local events, sports, editorials and commercial advertisements. Print edition ceased with 01/21/2023 issue, and publication is online only.
